For more than a dozen years, Dan Tripp had a front row seat to the state legislative process in the South Carolina House of Representatives. After his legislative service, Dan worked in 43 states managing political and legislative advocacy projects.
He founded Advocacy Architects as a way to assist business clients in managing legislative threats in state capitols across the United States.
Dan believes that most public affairs practitioners in state capitols are too risk-averse (and way too damn slow!) in their advocacy efforts. His approach is exactly the opposite.
In his spare time, Dan's either on a travel adventure with his family, smoking wild game on his massive Traeger grill, or out in the woods chasing white-tail deer with his American-made Matthews bow.
Dan Tripp received his undergraduate degree from Suffolk University in Boston, MA and his MBA from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. Dan is married to Alysia Barzee of Kansas City, MO and lives with his wife and three small children in the upstate of South Carolina.

I care about purposeful work and doing it with integrity; no shortcuts, no noise. I’m always pushing to grow and contribute to work that creates lasting impact.
Outside my professional world, I devote my time to rescuing and caring for stray dogs and cats—a passion that keeps me grounded and reminds me why compassion matters.

With over two decades of experience in graphic and web design, I've been crafting visual stories and digital experiences since 2002. My work expanded into marketing in 2018, where I help brands connect meaningfully with their audiences through strategic design and communication. My life’s philosophy is to lead with integrity and pursue excellence in everything I do.
When I'm not designing or strategizing, you'll find me exploring the outdoors of northern Michigan, capturing life through photography, traveling to new places, building things with my hands, getting lost in a good book, or gathered around a table for board game night with friends.
